Hey there, we are buzzing with excitement at with our new partnership with California State University, Fresno’s campus in launching our bin program. We’ve joined forces with the Clothing Closet, an awesome project over at Fresno State that’s all about equipping students with free professional clothing for job interviews. To make donating as easy as pie, we’ve placed a nifty donation bin right on campus for students and locals to drop off clothes they no longer need.
Let’s break down how it works: Your donated clothes are in safe hands with us. We sort through each item, separating casual and professional wear for the Clothing Closet to pass on to students. Got some extras? No worries, they won’t go to waste. We weigh them, cut a check to the Clothing Closet, and they use those funds to stock up on essentials like socks and undergarments. And if ever the Clothing Closet is running a bit low on donations, we’re right there to top them up with extra clothes from our stash at the warehouse.
Our collaboration with the Clothing Closet has been a long time coming since 2019, but a few roadblocks like the pandemic and some construction on campus slowed us down. But now, we’re back with a bang and more committed than ever to lend a hand to our local community. We’re pretty hopeful that our shiny new donation bin on campus will motivate everyone to donate and embrace sustainable practices. Remember, even clothes that have seen better days can be given a new lease of life. Let’s shift our perspective on what’s donatable and cut down on waste together! Stay tuned for more news on our trek towards a greener planet. Remember, every little bit makes a big difference!
